Vodafone builds up stakes

MOBILE phones group Vodafone splashed out £320m buying stakes of less than 10% in its Dutch and Greek operations, lifting its holdings to 77% and 63% respectively. The move is part of the mobile giant's plan to mop up outstanding shares in its listed subsidiaries.
