On schools:
? On Afghanistan: "It is necessary to take what action we need to confront any remaining terrorists. Of course, there are very active terrorists there."
? On Americans gung-ho: "It's very unfair if people say that about the Americans. Were it not for the Americans in Afghanistan we wouldn't have the ability of the interim government to function."
? On the special relationship: "It's no different from what it's always been. There will be issues from time to time, not actually in the Middle East but in relation to climate change or steel tariffs, where there will be differences. But the overall relationship is solid, sound and working well."
