Women suffering shopping bulimia

A desire among women to improve their moods through clothes has created a new addiction - shopping bulimia, a study has found.

Shopping bulimics resort to retail therapy but feel guilty when they get home and take the items back.

Of 530 women questioned in London department stores by Tamira King, of Brunel University's school of business and management, more than half confessed to indulging in shopping bulimia,which is growing fast, especially among women.

Tell-tale signs include keeping receipts, hiding shopping bags, a clothes with labels still attached and shopping more than twice a week.
