1. Because the power of balance is still male heavy

It is still a mans world. Whether it be the lack of female CEO’s at a corporate company, or being shunned for quitting yoga and taking up kick boxing. There is a constant stereotype that women cannot be anything more than just that, a woman.

2. Because women should decide what they do with their bodies

Abortion, plastic surgery, tattoos or piercings. Our bodies belong to us and we should feel free and confident enough to do as we wish.

3. Because victim blaming exists

Rape occurs every single day and unfortunately, the victim often takes the blame. Your skirt was too short. With that makeup you were asking for it. Well you didn’t exactly put up a fight did you?

4. Because of the pay discrepancy between men and women

Recent research still proves that in the same job role, approximately 75% of men still earn more than women. Need I say anymore?

5. Because of objectification

As women we should be able to walk past a group of builders without being whistled at. Its not cute, its not cool, its not funny.

6. Because no means no.

Self explanatory.

7. Because we don’t celebrate who we are enough

Women are often called ‘arrogant’ for showing a little confidence. It appears more socially acceptable to hate your body, rather than love it.

8. Because women should be supporting each other

If we all stuck together, we would honestly take over the world. There is no competition. We are all in this crazy world together. Buy her book. Tell her she’s beautiful. We should be supporting and celebrating each others successes.

9. Because of gender equality

Being pro feminist should not mean anti men.

10. Because women are incredible

We need to believe in ourselves a little bit more.
