Whether you fancy glamming up your outfit with Jessica Chastain's Hollywood waves or making a statement with a Paloma Faith inspired victory roll, we enlisted the help of Jordanna Cobella to help you get the winning look this awards season.

Hollywood Waves

Step 1: Divide your hair into a deep-set side parting ensuring that you angle it back to the middle of your crown.

Step 2: Tease your roots by gently back combing from the roots. Section your hair vertically, starting at the front and divide this section in half horizontally.

Step 3: Starting with the top section, lift the hair directly upwards, spray a light hair spray from the roots to the mid-length and, holding the wand horizontally, wrap the hair - as close to the root as possible - in a forward fashion and fold for 4 seconds.

Step 4: Gently slide the out without unwinding your hair by holding the curl in place with your hands for 3 seconds to allow the cool air to set the curls.

Step 5: Repeat step 3 and 4 with each section and the other half of your hair, starting from the front, making sure all sections are wrapped towards the face.

Step 7: Rake through your hair with large tooth comb without disturbing too much of the curl so they merge together and create Hollywood waves. For the front piece, accentuate the vintage look by spraying light hair spray directly on to the root as you hold it up with one finger to create a cowlick at the front.

Vintage Rolls

Step 1: Take a triangular section from your temples back to your crown where a fringe would normally sit. Curl this in one section using any curling device and ensure the hair is wrapped forward.

Step 2:Back comb the root with a Patrick Cameron back comb brush and tease the section into a flat curl wrapping the end of it around your thumb. Ensure it sits across your face and the flat curl is discreetly pinned to one side using pins.

Step 3: On one side, take a section from the top of your head to behind your ear and tease the roots. Lift this section directly upwards and carefully make another curl and pin in place near your previous flat curl.

Step 4: On the other side, take a smiliar section and create another flat curl and pin in place where you think suits best.

Step 5: The remaining hair at the back can now be worn down in loose waves so you should now be left with a half-up half-down vintage roll-do! Spray to secure.
