In case you've been living in a dark, wifi-less pit for the last week, here's a newsflash for you: tomorrow is Halloween.

And while some of us may have had our costumes prepped and ready since Melania Trump wore 5-inch heels to visit the disaster zone in Texas, others will still be in sartorial deadlock. It is at this point that we suggest you look to the celebrity circuit for inspiration.

Well-versed in the art of dressing for the camera Halloween provides celebrities with the perfect excuse to ditch their stylist for the night and dress as creatively as they dare, with New Yorker's annually heading to Heidi Klum's for a scary soirée while the Brits are hosted by Jonathan Ross.

The indisputable Queen of Halloween, Klum takes the prize every year for the most imaginative costume.

Having hosted a party every year since 2000, the model has previously dressed up as Lady Godiva, Betty Boop, Forbidden Fruit, a crow and a superhero before joining her then-husband Seal to dress up as a pair of apes in 2011.

One of her most brilliant and unrecognisable looks so far, however, came in the form of something altogether more ordinary.

Dressing up as a '95-year-old version' of herself, Klum's 2013 costume was so finely-detailed that her varicose veins, eye lenses to appear like cataracts and ageing fingernails rendered her introducing herself to her own guests.

Inevitably helped by the advancement of prosthetics, Klum became Jessica Rabbit in 2015 before enlisting five other women to brave the make-up chair last year in order to provide 5 Heidi Klum lookalikes.

Other celebrated celebrity costumes have come from the likes of Blue Ivy who dressed up as Michael Jackson in 2014 and Katy Perry whose Cheeto costume delighted her fans.

More ironic costumes have come from the likes of Kate Moss, who dressed as fellow model Cara Delevingne, and Nick Grimshaw, who arrived at Jonathan Ross's 2014 party alongside best friend Rita Ora whom he had dressed up as.
