Being the daughter of a Hollywood legend and a pop star does not leave "anything to rebel against", according to model Lily-Rose Depp.
The 17-year-old told Vogue magazine her parents Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis "weren’t very strict."
"They’ve always trusted me to be independent and make my own decisions. There wasn’t really anything to rebel against."
Depp was heralded as fashion’s latest It-girl aged 15, so she is used to attention from the press.
But she says she now tries not to be too open on social media, including Instagram where she has 2.2 million followers.
"I’ve really stopped using it in a personal way," she said.
"Once you start giving people that look into your life, they just want more and more. I’m obviously used to the media attention because I grew up with it, but my parents shielded me and my brother [Jack, two years younger] as much as they could."
Depp, who posed for Bruce Weber for the cover of Vogue, has starred in films The Dancer and Planetarium.
