Beauty spot: Bold blue eyes

Bold Blue Eyes

It's tough matching your eye make-up to your dress — especially when the dress is bright blue. But Sarah Jessica Parker pulled it off at the after-party of London's SATC2 premiere last week.

Georgina Hamed, head make-up artist at beauty boutiqe Lost in Beauty, advises: "Choose a shade that complements your skin tone — not the perfect colour match to your dress.

"If you can't carry off full bright blue eye make-up, opt for an eyeliner. Use a fine eyeliner brush and water to wet down blue eyeshadow. Go for a heavy line and keep the rest of the eye and under-eye clean.

"Try Chantecaille Shine Eye Shade in Star Sapphire (£22) or Becca Jewel Dust in Nixie (£17). Add Chantecaille's Bleu Noir Mascara (£29) and RMK Eyelashes in Blue (£9), all from Lost in Beauty (lostinbeauty.com). When using bright eye colours be sure to keep the rest of your make-up neutral."
