As many will know, 40 per cent of cancer diagnosed in the UK each year might have been prevented through making different diet and lifestyle choices.

Indeed, it's hardly news to state that eating certain foods - lots of processed meat - drinking certain drinks - alcohol - and smoking can lead to cancer.

But what might be news, however, is to learn that it's possible to find out, quickly and easily, how at risk your lifestyle might be making you. And that you can do so from where you're sitting (or standing) right now...

The UK's leading cancer prevention charity, World Cancer Research Fund, has teamed up with creative agency Arthur London and world-famous photographer and director Rankin to produce a series of videos promoting a new five-minute diet test; an assessment which asks 'Are you making yourself cancer attractive'?

An easy-to-use health check tool, by simply answering a few questions, such as how many portions of fruit and veg you eat a week and how many units of alcohol you drink, it reveals how at risk you might be making yourself, and furthermore, makes helpful diet and lifestyle suggestions as to how you might go about reducing that risk.

Designed by a team of nutritionists, the test was built on the foundations of the charity's Cancer Prevention Recommendations; guidelines set by a panel of experts from around the world who have spent decades assessing cancer data.

The test results produced are informative to say the least.

Whilst, of course, it's not possible to predict a person's chances of ever developing the disease - there are a number of variables the test neglects to consider, such as family history, for instance. However, it does reveal whether your diet and lifestyle align with those typically associated with a high cancer risk, and thus it's a test worth taking.

If you are keen to find out how you and your lifestyle fare, take the test here.
