Fresh Glow Mini Peel

Expert: Dr Jules Nabet

Science: This is more intense than a facial (without being so invasive, you end up looking like a peeled tomato) and aims to get rid of dead skin, stimulate skin cells, refine pores and hydrate, brighten and smooth your complexion.

Results: After the initial consultation, Kate chooses a gentle 30 per cent lactic (milk-based) acid peel for me and leaves it on my cleansed skin for five minutes. It tingles, but not too fiercely. Then comes a combination of soothing masks packed with more vitamins than I had in my lunch, collagen-stimulating peptides and co-enzyme Q10 for cell repair.

I emerge with tightened, well-hydrated skin and a rosy glow.

Price: £100/60 mins, six sessions recommended. Dr Nabet Medical Rooms, Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington High Street, W8 (020 7938 2195, julesnabet.com)
