Whether you’re tired of the treadmill, have a bikini body deadline or simply want a side of sass with your spin class, these are the London studios revolutionising our approach to fitness.

1. House of Voga

Bringing together the unlikely combination of yoga and vogueing, House of Voga unites a highly stylised form of yoga with the strong alignment and expressive moves of dance. Founder Juliet Murrell is a former film set designer and she brings her design lens to all classes – this is one Instagram-friendly workout.

Its all not all style and no substance though – the combination of breath synchronised moves focuses on strengthening the core with a channelling of chi, all set to the sounds of an 80’s beat. Classes are held at pop-up locations all across London.

The retreats are also not to be missed; regular locations include Ibiza, The Philippines and Marrakech.

2. Salus London

If it’s a serious body transformation you are after then its time to bring in the big guns. Salus London views body composition analysis and nutrition plans as mandatory and tracks your progress religiously. A personal trainer and programme is assigned to each client and each week commences with an analysis of your weight, fat to muscle ratio, cardiovascular fitness and a computerised progress report to ensure you are meeting your objectives.

It’s an intense programme but if it results you are after then look no further.

3. Ethos London

ETHOS's husband and wife co-founders have aimed to bridge the divide between fitness, yoga and science by creating a space that brings them together for optimal mind/body training. The result is ETHOS – a hybrid workout experience, located in Old Spitalfields Market, where all your diet and exercise needs are met under one roof. In addition to daily Yoga, Barre and TRX classes, the studio also offers genetic analysis, health assessments and adrenal stress testing. If you think that this sounds like just another LA import, think again – both founders are Cambridge University graduates who have spent more than 30 years in professional sports, dance, science and academia.

4. Workshop

Voted best for “First Class Futuristic Fitness” in the Tatler Spa Guide, Workshop is a master-class in understated elegance. Located in the Bulgari Hotels in London, Milan and Bali, the studios are discreetly luxurious, and staffed with the very best fitness experts in the world. Each trainer specialises in a variety of one–to-one training methods designed to refine the way your body looks and feels and each programme begins with the Workshop Framework Assessment, a series of body evaluations that help the team create the perfect bespoke approach for you. This June, Workshop teams up with high performance brand Bulletproof (the company famous for popularising Bulletproof coffee) to launch the Bulletproof x Workshop Gymnasium fitness class. Designed as the perfect workout to energise you, the class begins with a cup of the brand's iconic coffee (coffee teamed with unsalted grass-fed butter and Upgraded Octane Oil) to place you in a state of high performance. Fuelled for action, you’ll then be guided through a dynamic workout expertly created by Workshop Gymnasium Founder Lee Mullins, who has trained the likes of Rita Ora, Mollie King, Cressida Bonas, Zoe Kravitz and Zara Martin.
