Forget about thighbrows and ab cracks, because there’s a new celebrity body trend that will have you doing just as many squats at the gym.

‘Underbuns’ are set to be the next female erogenous zone to flaunt on your Instagram, according to millennials - thanks to celebrity backing from the likes of Pixie Lott and Lady Gaga.

The flesh-flashing effect is simply achieved when a woman wears a micro skirt or shorts, revealing the lower curve of their buttocks from beneath the fabric.

Not for the faint-hearted, slang dictionary website Urban Dictionary describes an underbun as: “When a woman's buttocks pleasantly peaks out from the bottom of her respective garments.”

The unforgiving trend was seemingly kickstarted on Reddit, where a whole thread dedicated to the underbun look gained attention from users of the site.

Celebrities have since been quick to jump on the trend.

Pixie Lott showed off her underbun look last week at the West Ham United V Everton Premier League football match, while Selena Gomez, Laura Whitmore and former Made in Chelsea Star Ashley James have also been photographed sporting the look.

If you’re keen to be one of the first to get in on the underbun action, Topshop are selling a rather revealing pair of high-rise shorts that should do the job, while YouTube has DIY tutorials on how to chop a perfectly good pairs of jeans into Coachella-worthy hot pants.

Or you could just wear a nice pair of jeans and save yourself the hassle.
