I love yellow but don’t have the skin tone for a full-on outfit. Best way to add just a splash?

It’s hard to wear a lot of yellow without ending up looking like Big Bird or a giant rubber glove. Neither is a good look. The key is to inject splashes of citrus subtly, using fabulous accessories. Hot new shoe designer Sophia Webster has the perfect pair of heels for this. Wear them with jeans and a light sweater for dressed-down summer chic.

MiH jeans monogramming service

Only two things make me happier than frapuccinos: good denim and monogramming. So when these two things meet, as in MiH jeans’ current collaboration with the hand-embroidery company Hawthorne & Heaney, it’s like I’ve died and gone to my own personal fashion heaven. Buy any pair of jeans on the MiH website and get personalising your pockets.

Monogramming, £35 for up to three letters, with delivery within two weeks. (mih-jeans.com)
