Rankin and friends celebrate 30 years of his fashion photography

Kate Moss, Giles Deacon and Charlotte Tilbury hit the Ennismore Session House on Tuesday night for the launch of fashion photographer Rankin's new book.

Unfashionable: 30 Years of Fashion Photography celebrates some of the photographer's most iconic work.

Ahead of the party we asked Rankin - who has made a name in the last three decades as the go-to photographer for the A List - who he would go back and photograph again if he could.

"I’m not one for regrets, though I do regret being an arrogant idiot for most of the 90s" he told us, "but if I could go back and redo a shoot, it would probably be George Michael. I was such a fan and I ended up just chatting too much and not trying to get more or better images. Also, I’d shoot lots more photos of Kate Moss – all of those images are so iconic now."

He also had advice for new photographers, explaining "how much of a business person you need to be" to succeed.

"You have to know how to hustle," he said.

And as for his most entertaining photo subject? Heidi Klum.

"Even the most stressful shoot [with Heidi] can be a laugh," he said. "She's also very easy to photograph or film!"
