The Crush: Taylor Swift

She’s stolen Harry’s heart — and ours
Lotte Jeffs14 December 2012

You may know Taylor Swift as the multi-award-winning, squillion-selling country singer who only yesterday turned 23, or you may know her as that skank who stole Harry Styles — either way, we love her and wish her and the 1D heart-throb all the best. No, seriously, we do.

We had Swifty down as just another cheesy American popbot, until we heard her on Nick Grimshaw’s Radio 1 breakfast show giving good banter, being sassy and self-deprecating, and we thought here’s someone we’d really like to invite to our office Christmas party, to share a couple of Jäger-bombs and shimmy to ‘Single Ladies’ with. We like her age-appropriate ‘quirky’ style (cords, fringe, red lippy, cute jumpers and satchels) and her conviction when it comes to those big decisions in life (cf: ‘We are never, ever, ever getting back together’), and so does Harry. The couple have been getting very cosy in New York and even (gasp!) having sleepovers. Some may claim the pop pairing is just too perfect to be for real, but this is no Leona and Liam charade; we like to think that Grimmy played Cupid (again) and we are desperately awaiting some matching Christmas onesies pics to surface. May this one last forever, ever, ever.
