Paris Fashion Week is coming to a close, the nights are drawing in and temperatures are dropping – so what better time to treat yourself to a weekend in Paris to beat those end of summer blues?

As the saying goes – Paris is always a good idea and there are forever new streets to explore, fresh restaurants to try and another gallery to while away an hour or three.

Here, Doris & Dicky showcase five of their favourite cheap and chic stays in Paris - most of which, you’re probably yet to hear of…

1. Hôtel du Temps

Hidden behind a classic Parisian façade a hop, skip and a jump from Gare du Nord sits a charming Art Deco-inspired boutique hotel. Whilst rooms are compact (true of most spots in Paris) whitewashed floorboards, designer lighting and fun tropical print curtains keep things feeling bright and breezy and there’s a great little bar for your nightcap downstairs.

Rooms are currently available from £142 per night, Book here

2. C.O.Q Hotel

An acronym for Community of Quality – this relative newcomer to the Paris hotel scene offers stylish, sleek design and great value in an up and coming part of town. It’s a fun spot, with a buzzy café and a friendly community feel a short walk from the charming cobbled streets of villagey Butte-aux-Cailles.

Rooms are currently available from £119 per night. Book here

3. Grand Hôtel Malher

Hidden down a side street in the city’s popular Le Marais - Grand Hôtel Malher is a perfect spot to base yourself for the classic Parisian experience. Housed in a rather grand Parisian townhouse, this family-owned hotel has a sweet and simple style along with unfailingly friendly service.

Rooms are currently available from £135 per night; Book here

4. Hotel Chavanel

Set amongst the chic boutiques and restaurants of the 8ème, a stone’s throw from Galeries Lafayette - Hotel Chavanel is a great for those that like the finer things in life. There is a contemporary elegance to this boutique hotel - with skinny silver birch tree trunks lining the lobby and a pared back, muted colour palette throughout.

Rooms are currently available from £120; Book Here

5. Le 20 Prieuré Hôtel, Oberkampf

One of our most popular hotels in Paris, Le 20 Prieuré Hôtel offers unbeatable value smack bang in the heart of town.

What this friendly little hotel lacks in cutting edge design it certainly makes up for in location with Le Marais and Canal Saint-Martin both a stroll away and charming staff on hand to help guide your wanderings.

Rooms are currently available from £85; Book here
