Budget airline easyJet has announced it will resume its package holidays from August 1, following the government’s announcement on Friday that it is relaxing quarantine regulations for incoming passengers from up to 60 countries.
EasyJet launched its package holidays at the end of 2019, but had to put them on hold after many European countries closed their borders in March as coronavirus swept the globe.
Salvaging the most popular holiday season, the packages will include trips to several European destinations including Spain, Turkey and Greece.
Matt Callaghan, Customer Director at easyJet holidays, said: “Like many people, we’ve been waiting for this moment. We only launched our business in November 2019 so as our first summer season, it was always going to be a milestone moment, but even more so now.
"We’ve put a lot of work in behind the scenes to ensure our customers can travel with confidence and have launched our three key commitments so customers know what to expect when booking and travelling with us.”
Prices are competitive, too, with a seven-night break in Tenerife starting from £517pp, seven nights in Crete from £334pp, and a week in Antalya from £405pp.
All prices include flights, hotels, 23kgs of luggage and hotel transfers to beach properties.
