Boy, 16, knifed and has ‘acid’ thrown in his face in Lower Clapton attack

A 16-year-old boy was stabbed and had “acid” thrown in his face in a brutal east London street attack.

The teenager was found in Rushmore Road, Lower Clapton at 3.13pm on Saturday suffering knife wounds and facial injuries thought to be caused by a “noxious substance”, police said.

He was taken to an east London hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

There have been no arrests. Forensic officers were seen combing the crime scene for evidence on Saturday evening.
