A 15-year-old boy was set upon in a brutal attack last night which saw him stabbed a dozen times in the chest, legs and arms.

The teen was subject to the "serious assault" shortly before 9pm on Thursday evening.

Police said they were called to Mountearl Gardens in Streatham, south London, where the boy was found with "multiple stab wounds to his legs, chest and arms".

Detectives from Lambeth borough police are investigating and no arrests have been made, Scotland Yard said.

Paramedics also attended before rushing the teen to hospital as a priority. Police this morning said he was in a serious but stable condition.

London Ambulance Service's Joint Response Units Twitter account (@LAS_JRU) posted: "Unit responded with @LambethMPS to a victim who had been stabbed 12 times, taken as a priority to A&E."
