Camberwell: Man charged with arson after car fires in south London

A man has been charged with arson after a series of car fires in Camberwell, south London.

Nerijus Butkys, 30, of Jephson Street, Camberwell was charged on Wednesday with four counts of arson.

Police said the charges are connected to an investigation into a series of car fires which took place between Christmas Eve and Tuesday, January 10 in the Camberwell area.

Butkys is due to appear in custody at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 12.
