The post-mortem examinations of three children found dead in their south-west London home were 'inconclusive,' police said today.

The bodies of disabled siblings Olivia, 4, and three-year-old twins Ben and Max Clarence were found at the family's home in New Malden on Tuesday.

Scotland Yard said the examinations "did not establish a cause of death" and further tests would be carried out.

The children suffered from the life-limiting genetic disorder Spinal Muscular Atrophy.

The children's mother, Tania Clarence, 42, has been charged with three counts of murder.

Banker Gary Clarence, 43, the children's father, flew back from holiday in South Africa with the couple's eight-year-old daughter on news of the deaths.

He was present at Wimbledon magistrates’ court on Friday where his wife was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on 29 April.
