A 22-year-old has been charged with murder after a man in his 60s was stabbed to death in Clapton.

Dawid Wycik, 22, of no fixed abode, was arrested at the scene and later charged.

He will appear in Thames Magistrates' Court on Monday.

It comes after a man, believed to be a Polish national in his 60s, was found with stab wounds in a property in Mount Pleasant Lane.

Despite efforts of paramedics he was pronounced dead at the scene, shortly after 23.29pm.
