A clubber who glassed the daughter of Ground Force star Tommy Walsh sobbed in court today as she was jailed for five years.

Leanne Bloomfield, 29, of Colchester, used a shard of broken glass to slash Natalie Walsh’s throat from her neck to her chin at Cafe De Paris near Leicester Square on February 3 last year. The single mother-of-two then kicked Ms Walsh, 22, as she lay on the ground, Southwark crown court was told.

Bloomfield “crowed” about her actions to a friend, texting how she had a “massive punch up with some girl”.

Ms Walsh needed plastic surgery after suffering a “nasty cut” to her thumb, as well as treatment for the gash to her neck.

Bloomfield was found guilty of wounding with intent following a trial last month.

Passing sentencing, the judge, Mr Recorder Peter Sussman QC, said it was a “tragedy” for her children.”

Mr Walsh appeared with Charlie Dimmock in the BBC gardening show Ground Force.
