Commuter 'tried to kill stranger by pushing him onto tracks after row on Tube'

A commuter tried to kill a stranger by pushing him on to the Tube tracks after a row on the train, a court heard.

Christopher Cole, 31, allegedly shoved his victim off the platform as he waited for a Jubilee Line train at Bond Street Station on June 9.

It followed an altercation after Cole was abusing fellow passengers, Westminster Magistrates’ Court heard.

The man managed to pull himself off on to the platform before an oncoming train arrived at the station.

He was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital where he was treated for bruising to his back and hands

Cole, of Shepherd’s Bush is charged with attempted murder.

He will remain in custody until he next appears at Blackfriars Crown Court on August 4.
