A journalist today described feeling “sad and alone” after Dave Lee Travis suggested she pose for sexy pictures before groping her breasts to judge whether they were big enough, a court heard.

The woman, 24 at the time and in her first job at a national paper, was interviewing the DJ at his home for a feature in the 1980s. She told Southwark crown court the pictures suggestion “embarrassed” her.

But when he raised the issue again she blurted out “my boobs aren’t big enough” to “put him off”. She added: “Then suddenly he put his arms out and put his hands on my breasts. He cocked his head quizzically to the side as if he was judging that for himself .”

After he had dropped her off at the station, she had felt “very sad and quite alone”.

The DJ, 68, is charged under his real name David Griffin, and denies 13 indecent assaults between 1976 and 2003 and sexual assault by touching in 2008 involving 10 women and a girl of 15.

The trial continues.
