A drug user called in police - to complain his dealer was overcharging him.

The bungling user called 999 to alert police that his suppplier had ripped him off one too many times.

The unusual call was revealed by Sgt Richard Berns, a police sergeant in Hackney, who tweeted: "A caller just rang 999 to report their drug dealer keeps ripping them off and they're fed up with it!"

He said there were no arrests and added: "[It was] just a call that amused me a bit, so I thought I'd share."

The revelation sparked jokes on Twitter. One posted the person "must be out of his mind." Another added that they "must be smacked up to the eyeballs to make such a call", adding: "Absolutely incredible".
