A murder probe has been launched after the death of a woman in west London.
Police today named the victim as Serafima Meshaka after she was found dead at a property in Ealing.
Officers were called to Haven Green Court just before 1.30pm on Wednesday last week.
They, and paramedics, attended following concerns about a female resident, the Met said.
But she was pronounced dead at the scene and a post-mortem examination, held on Monday, found the cause of death to be head injuries.
There have been no arrests.
The investigation is being led by Det Ch Insp Helen Rance, who said: “At this stage we don’t know what happened to Serafima, who was sadly found dead in her own home.
“We would appeal for anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious around the address on the evening of Tuesday, September 17 through to the Wednesday lunchtime when she was found to please come forward.
”At this stage we are keeping an open mind about what happened and any possible motive for this attack.”
