A man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder after a woman and baby were stabbed in west London.

Rehan Khan, 25, handed himself in on Wednesday following a police manhunt in connection with a “horrific” attack involving an 11-month-old baby and a 32-year-old woman.

He was charged on Thursday and is due to appear in custody at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court later the same day, police said.

The baby remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition following the incident.

The incident happened at an address in a quiet cul-de-sac in Feltham, west London, on Monday evening.

A Met statement said: “Rehan Khan - of no fixed abode - was charged on Thursday, 7 June with two counts of attempted murder. He will appear in custody at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court later on 7 June.

“This follows an incident at an address in Swinfield Close, Feltham on Monday, 4 June.

“Two people - a 32-year-old woman and an 11-month-old boy - suffered stab injuries. Both were taken to hospital for treatment. Both remain in hospital.”
