This picture shows the missing boyfriend of murdered EastEnders star Sian Blake arriving in Ghana three days after he was questioned and released by police.
Arthur Simpson-Kent can be seen in the photograph, exclusively obtained from a “security source” by ITV News, after landing at an airport in the west African country on December 19.
Police have made extensive efforts to trace Mr Simpson-Kent, 48, in the wake of the grim discovery.
Ms Blake, 43, and her young sons Zachary, eight, and Amon, four, had not been seen since December 16. Police launched a murder inquiry on Sunday after her car was found abandoned in Bethnal Green, east London.
Mr Simpson-Kent was reported missing on December 23. The new photograph shows him arriving at Kotoka International Airport, Accra, just after 9pm GMT four days earlier.
Scotland Yard was this week facing questions over why it took so long to find the bodies, and why the missing persons investigation was not graded as a higher priority.
An appeal to find the trio was only published on January 1, more than two weeks after she was reported missing by Mr Simpson-Kent.
They were last seen in Leyton on December 13.
Police watchdog the Independent Police Complaints Commission is investigating.
Ms Blake’s sister Ava said on Thursday: “My brother is angry. My cousins are angry. They are angry about Sian but the boys have devastated us. We have lost a generation. We can never replace them.”
And she called for Mr Simpson-Kent to return to the UK.
