A murder investigation has been launched after a man was found fatally injured in Gravesend.

Kent Police said the victim had been involved in a disturbance at a house on Taunton Vale and made it as far as St Patrick's Gardens on Saturday evening.

Officers were called to the area at 7.56pm after the 31-year-old, who was from the Cranbook area, was discovered with injuries to his head and stomach.

He was taken to a specialist unit at a London hospital, but died on Sunday morning, the force said.

No arrests have been made and detectives are attempting to establish the circumstances of the man's death.

Anyone with information is asked to call Kent Police on 01474 366149 quoting 21-1367.

Alternatively, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers in Kent anonymously on 0800 555 111.
