A man has been killed after a fight broke out in a pub in north-west London.

Police and paramedics were called to the pub in Preston Road, Harrow, at about 11pm on Friday. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.

He was taken to a north-west London police station and has been bailed to return on a date in late June.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "Paramedics had attended after a 53-year-old man was injured during an altercation that took place inside the pub.

“He was pronounced dead at the scene by LAS."

No weapons were reported to have been seen during the incident, police said.

The 53-year-old man's next of kin have been informed, but formal identification and a post-mortem examination have yet to take place.
