A man charged with preventing lawful burial after the bodies of two women were found in a freezer at a flat will today appear in court.

Zarhid Younis, 34, was arrested after the bodies were found in Vandome Close, Canning Town, east London, on Friday.

Post-mortem examinations on the two bodies were set to begin tomorrow.

Detectives have said it could take a week to identify the bodies.

Police have appealed for anyone who has visited the flat in the past year, or knows anyone who has, to come forward.

A 50-year-old who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released under investigation.

Younis will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court today charged with two counts of preventing a lawful and decent burial.
