A man has been charged with aggravated burglary after a raid on an elderly couple's home in Shooter's Hill.

Daniel Awofisan, 22, was held by police yesterday following the incident on July 1, in which the couple were threatened at knifepoint and had £700 taken, along with their credit and debit cards.

He was charged with aggravated burglary, fraud and possession of cannabis and another serious offence, Scotland Yard said today.

Detectives yesterday announced they were offering a £10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of two burglars involved in the burglary.

Awofisan, of Peareswood Road, Erith, is due to appear at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Monday.
