Police have arrested a man at a house in west London during a series of counter-terror raids.

The 32-year-old man was held by counter-terror officers on suspicion of arranging funding for the purpose of terrorism and fraud by false representation, Scotland Yard said.

Eleven addresses in west London and one in Herfordshire were searched as part of an ongoing investigation into suspected terrorist activity in Syria.

Two other men have appeared in court in relation to the investigation and are due to return to the Old Bailey in October having been remanded in custody.

Imran Khawaja, 26, of Southall appeared charged with preparing to commit terrorist acts, receiving training in the use of firearms and attending a place for terrorist training.

Tahir Bhatti, 44 appeared charged with assisting someone in committing terrorist acts.
