Police have launched a manhunt after a woman was beaten unconscious and sexually assaulted in a Paddington hotel room.

Police were called to reports of a man sexually assaulting a woman at the hotel on Sunday November 29 at 3.15am.

The man also hit the victim, causing her to lose consciousness momentarily before the suspect ran out of the room and left the hotel.

The victim immediately called police and was taken to hospital for treatment. Her injuries were not life-threatening.

On Thursday, more than three months after the assault, police issued an image of a man they would like to speak to.

The suspect is described as a black man, around 6ft tall, of medium build, with receding short curly hair and brown eyes, light to mid-complexion, slight beard and moustache, appears to be aged mid to late 20s.

At the time of the attack the male was wearing a black cap, black and grey striped scarf, dark blue hooded jacket, dark blue jeans, black trainers.

Anyone who thinks they may know this man or has any information that could assist the investigation should call police on 101 or Tweet @MetCC quoting 888/29NOV/20
