A man has been charged with murder following the death of a 27-year-old man in west London.

Ronnell Dennis of Pield Heath Road, Hillingdon was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on March 2 after police issued an appeal for his whereabouts.

The 26-year-old was charged on Tuesday, March 3 and was remanded in police custody after appearing at Uxbridge magistrates' court on Wednesday, March 4.

The victim, David Siirak, 27, died from his injuries in hospital on March 4.

The incident happened at a mental health facility in Pield Heath Road, Hillingdon, at around 5.10pm on March 1.

A post-mortem examination indicated the cause of death as head injuries but a final report awaits.

Dennis appeared at Kingston crown court on Tuesday, 30 June where the indictment was upgraded to murder.

A trial date has been set for Monday, August 24.
