A murder probe has been launched after a man was stabbed to death in east London on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old victim was found with a stab wound to the chest at Monteagle Way on the Nightingale Estate, Hackney just after 12pm on November 14.
Medics treated him at the scene, but he was pronounced dead at 12.15pm.
Officers are aware of the victim's identity and his family have been notified. However, formal identification is yet to take place.
A post-mortem examination is due to be held.
Road closures are in place on Rendlesham Road and Monteagle Way as a crime scene has been established. Officers anticipate significant traffic disruption in the surrounding area.
Officers from the Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating and they have appealed for information from anyone who may have seen or heard anything around Monteagle Way and the Nightingale Estate in the early hours on Tuesday.
There is no motive at this stage.
There have been no arrests and enquiries are ongoing.
