This is the first picture of a schoolboy stabbed to death just yards from his family home in North Woolwich.

Kayjon Lublin, 15, was named locally as the boy found suffering knife wounds in Woodman Street, near the Royal Docks in Newham, just before 7pm on Friday.

A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Newham shortly before 5am on Saturday, the Metropolitan Police said.

Another young man posted on Twitter: "Long live Kayjon. Look over us man."

"An arrest has been made but the investigation is still in its early stages. I would appeal to any members of the local community to come forward with any information which might help bring those responsible to justice.

"Local officers will step up patrols in the area in the coming days to reassure the public and continue to target violent crime."
