A murder investigation has been launched after a young man was stabbed to death in west London.

The victim, 23, was found suffering a knife wound to the chest in Perivale just before 8.15pm on Saturday, police said.

He was rushed to hospital but pronounced dead just before 10.30pm.

Police cordons were put in place in Bilton Road, where semi-detached houses sell for up to £500,000.

A forensic tent was seen outside fast food restaurants, near the junction with Empire Road, according to witnesses.

No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.

Anyone with information should call police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
