A young father stabbed to death after being chased down by a gang in north London has been pictured by police.

Kamali Gabbidon-Lynck, 19, from Enfield, died in hospital from multiple stab wounds after being abushed and chased in Wood Green on February 22.

The teenager was surrounded outside a Vue cinema before being pursued by a gang on bicycles armed with a samurai sword, knives and a gun and cornered in a nearby hair salon.

A second man, 20, was shot but survived the attack at 8pm on Friday evening.

Detective Chief Inspector Simon Stancombe of the Homicide and Major Crime Command has urged any witnesses to speak to the police.

He said: “Kamali was chased into a hairdressers where he was cornered by the suspects and attacked, sustaining the knife wounds that would end his life.

“I know that there were a lot of people that witnessed at least part of this incident and I know that many of those people will be afraid to come forward and speak with police – I urge those people to make use of the anonymous services available to enable my officers to remove these violent criminals from the area where you live, work or socialise.

“Who are the males on the bikes? Do you know their names? Did you hear shots fired? Even more important, do you have footage of any stage of this tragic incident? If you do please share it with us by visiting ukpoliceimageappeal.com.

“Help us identify these suspects, for Kamali, for the second victim, and for the safety of your community.”

There have been no arrests, police said.

A relative of Mr Gabbidon-Lynck previously told the Standard the family were “devastated” at the loss of the teenager.

The relative said: “We are devastated. Kamali was brutally murdered.”

A family friend added: “Yesterday I sat in a house and watched a mum cry over the loss of her son, I had to watch a sister cry over the loss of her brother and to top it all off had to see a baby girl playing, not even knowing someone has taken her dad from her.

“This boy was 19. When will enough be enough?”
