A teenage girl was sexually assaulted at a station after she was followed onto a train.

The young victim was at Willesden Junction station at 9.45pm on May 18, when the man approached her.

In a statement on Twitter on Tuesday, British Transport Police (BTP) said: “He sexually assaulted her and tried to get her to leave the station with him, before following her onto a train.

“The man left the train at West Brompton, while the victim called her dad who phoned the police.”

BTP has released a CCTV image of a man they want to identify.

Officers believe the man pictured may have information which could help their investigation.
