Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to after "upskirt" images were taken of a woman in south east London.

The victim,  22, was in a supermarket in Charlton when the man pointed a camera up towards her skirt after following her into the store and through the aisles.

She turned round and saw that he was holding his phone with the camera on.

He left the shop and the young woman called her mother to pick her up, and the police were alerted.

Footage obtained from the store captures the man following the victim before pointing his mobile phone up towards the victim's skirt. The incident happened in a supermarket in Charlton Church Lane at around 12.20pm on Sunday.

Police said in a statement: “Officers would like to speak to the man pictured.”

Anyone who recognises the man or has information that could assist police is asked to call 101 ref CAD 4406/19Jul

To remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
