Woman fighting for life as man charged with attempted murder in Wimbledon

A woman is fighting for life in hospital after being found seriously assaulted at a home in south-west London.

Police rushed to Nelson Grove Road in Wimbledon after reports that a woman was attacked at around 7.15pm on Friday.

Detectives charged Joshua Nahum, 32, of the same address with attempted murder

He will appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

A Met spokesman said: “Police were called to reports that a woman had been assaulted at a residential property in Nelson Grove Road.

“The woman, aged in her 30s, was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

“Her next of kin have been informed.”

Detectives from the public protection team in south-west London are leading the investigation and their enquiries are ongoing.
