Police are hunting a man who allegedly sexually assaulted two women aboard the DLR.

The suspect is accused of inappropriately touching a woman on a DLR service at Bank heading towards Lewisham on June 16, just after 7pm.

He is then said to have repeatedly pushed his groin against her when she exited the train.

After getting off the train at Limehouse, the suspect then rejoined the DLR at Tower Gateway shortly before 8pm where he sat opposite another woman.

While travelling towards Canning Town, he touched her and himself inappropriately before getting off at Poplar.

British Transport Police’s investigating officer Detective Constable Suleman Yazdani said: “This was a highly distressing and totally unacceptable experience for anyone travelling on public transport.

“Everyone has the absolute right to travel without fear of being a victim of crime.”
