Detectives are hunting a second man in connection with the murder of an 80-year-old grandmother found strangled to death on an allotment in north London.

Scotland Yard today named Ghanaian national Mubarick Duat as “wanted and violent” and urged people to call 999 if he is spotted.

Lea Adri-Soejoko, who was strangled with the cord of her anorak, was discovered in a lock-up store at the Colindale allotment on February 28.

She was secretary of the Colindale Allotment Garden Association and had failed to appear for a meeting the previous evening.

A 40-year-old man was charged in March with the murder of Ms Adri- Soejoko.

Police are offering a £20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Duat, 37, who is said to have 13 aliases, including Mubarick Duah, Kwaka Duah and Mubarice Duah.

The public are warned not to approach Duat, as police said he “can be violent”.

Anyone with information can also call 020 8785 8099 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
