Topshop has been evacuated after reports of a blaze at the Oxford Circus store.
Scores of shoppers were pictured fleeing the shop shortly after 3.30pm on Saturday.
Lily Southall claimed she saw the fire at the Office store in the basement of Topshop.
She said: "It was on the very bottom floor, in the Office footwear department. We could smell something burning then saw the fire... It was mayhem."

Nicole Benford said the music cut out before a tannoy message telling everyone to leave the store.
She added: "Some lights caught on fire. Not serious but some peeved teens! All closed down for now."

The London Fire Brigade confirmed it had been called to Oxford Circus and was pictured at the scene.
The Nike shop next door was also reportedly evacuated.
