A teenager accused of stabbing to death two sisters after a lockdown birthday celebration has today pleaded not guilty to murder.

Danyal Hussein, 18, allegedly killed Nicole Smallman, 27, and Bibaa Henry, 46, in Fryent Country Park in Wembley in the early hours of June 6.

The sisters were the last ones left at a party to celebrate Ms Henry’s birthday when they were allegedly killed.

The bodies of social worker Ms Henry and photographer Ms Smallman were found together in the park the following day.

Hussein, from Blackheath, was charged with the double murder in July last year, and appeared in the dock at the Old Bailey this afternoon to formally enter his pleas.

He denies murdering Ms Smallman and Ms Henry, and also pleaded not guilty to possession of a knife in Fryent Country Park on the same day.

Members of the sisters’ family were in court to hear the pleas, as Mrs Justice Whipple set the trial for June 7.

Hussein, from Blackheath, has been remanded in custody until his trial, while a pre-trial review is scheduled for May 19.
