A teenager was stabbed in broad daylight in Notting Hill this afternoon.

Police were called to Grenfell Road at about 2.15pm to reports of a man suffering from a stab wound.

According to local reports, 'a trail of blood' was seen running from the road to nearby Nottingwood House after the attack.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) took a man aged 18 or 19 to a central London hospital. He has since been discharged.

Sergeant Neil Tanner, of the LAS, said: "He was a black male, around the age of 18 or 19. He was stabbed in the arm and it is non-life threatening. He was taken to hospital and we are now conducting CCTV enquiries."

No arrests have been made but detectives from Kensington and Chelsea continue to investigate the incident.

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
