Two men have been hospitalised following a double stabbing in the early hours of New Year's Day.

Police were called at about 6am to Stonebridge Road in Tottenham, close to Seven Sisters station, where they found a man suffering from stab wounds.

Officers found a second man in the area who had also sustained stab wounds, and police believe the two stabbings are linked.

Both men were taken to an east London hospital for treatment for their injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Officers from Haringey CID are investigating.

"Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made."

Anyone with information about the stabbings is asked to call police on 101.
