A 14-year-old boy was stabbed after a fight broke out near an east London leisure centre.

MP for Walthamstow Stella Creasy told of a "serious incident" at Walthamstow Leisure Centre on her Facebook page.

According to the Met Police, officers were called at about 1.10pm to reports of a male stabbed in Farmilo Road.

They attended along with London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.

The boy was dashed to hospital suffering stab injuries.

His condition is not yet known and officers from Waltham Forest CID are investigating.

Cordons are in place at the scene and there have been no arrests.

Walthamstow Leisure Centre is the same spot a 16-year-old boy died after being shot in April this year.
